Virtual History Tour: Rise Of New York Art Scene 1950s – 1980s

Butera Art Advisory invites you to join us on Wednesday, September 29th, at 6:00 PM for a virtual lecture on the history of art and culture in New York City. For the third lecture in this series, renowned New York historian, Kevin Draper, will take us on a tour to discuss the rise of the New York City art scene from the 1950s through the 1980s.

After World War II, New York City became the undisputed financial, fashion, cultural and intellectual capital of the world. Artists such as Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and Andy Warhol (and his factory) helped make New York City an international art capital!

Join us as we explore this unique time in art history.
