Butera Art Advisory In Conversation: Fine Art Insurance 101
Butera Art Advisory invites you to join us on Tuesday, October 19th, at 12 noon for an in-depth conversation about Fine Art Insurance with Hayden Kopser, President of North Improvement, LLC. We will discuss the intricacies of insuring a collection of fine art, jewelry, and other valuables. In working with your clients, the question may inevitably arise: should clients cover their art under their homeowner’s insurance policy or should they insure it under a separate art collection policy? In addition, we will answer the following questions so we can help you guide your clients through the insurance process.
- How are policies structured? (e.g. blanket vs scheduled)
- Does homeowner’s insurance include coverage for art?
- Is art covered during transit?
- How do risk management and claims work for art?
- When is an appraisal needed for insurance? What is the appraisal process?
Interactive Q&A to follow the 50 minute talk.
